Alexander Vincent (AL) Mahomet , 93 , of Clayton , Ga. died Saturday January 3 ,2009 in Gainesville ,Ga.
Born in Kansas City , Kansas September 18 , 1915 He was the son of the late Walter and Teckla Tchadelowski Mahomet . He was the widower of Helen Mahomet. He was a Salesman in Real Estate for a number of years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and served two enlistments after WWII. He was a member of the Clayton Baptist Church where he served in the Church Choir for many years.
He is survived by an estranged son , Dick Allen Mahomet of Tacoma , Washington , one sister , Anne Ketter of Tacoma Washington , two nieces , Paula and Cindy , two grand nieces , and one grand nephew . Also by two special friends and caregivers, Bill Wozniuk and Jude Cann.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday January 7, 2009 at the Clayton Baptist Church with Rev. Joey Thompson officiating .
The body will be taken to the church at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday January 7, 2009 for visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M.
The body will be cremated and burial will be at Union Hill Cemetery at a later date in Hayesville , North Carolina .
