Alice Marie Franklin

Alice Marie Franklin, age 81, of Clayton, GA, passed away Friday, February 10, 2023, at Traces of Tiger in Tiger, GA.

Alice was born October 07, 1941, in Clayton, GA, a daughter of Samuel Tyler and Ginnie Belle Moore Tyler. She was married to the late, William "Bill" Paris Franklin. Alice was a member of Boggs Mountain Baptist Church. She worked as a cook for the Rabun County Memorial Hospital and then as a baker for Wal-Mart. Alice was an artist when it came to crafts, she loved to sew, and she even made her kids clothes and prom dresses when they were growing up.

She is survived by four children, Donnie Brock (Terri), Milton Brock (Sherrie Virgo), Pam Kilby (Dale), Chirs Brock, four stepchildren Kenneth Franklin (Francesca), Debbie Franklin, Paris Franklin, and Marty Franklin (Karen), 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce Sullivan (Dan) and Ruby Buchanan and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be Monday, February 13th, 2023, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Eastside Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, February 14, 2023, 2:00 PM at the Eastside Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Dr. Kenneth Franklin and Pastor Jewell Gaines officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Church Cemetery in Clarkesville, GA.
