Betty Mathis

Betty Jo Mathis, 86, of Goat Mtn. drive, Wiley, Ga. died at her home Sunday night Jan. 31, 2016. Betty Jo’s family is one daughter, Nancy Mathis Taylor (Lonnie) of Wiley, grandson , John Alan Land of Clayton, Ga. and sisters , Velna June Sadler of Lakewood , Fl. and Doris Juanita Dell of Portage , Wisconsin and the family of Betty thanks all of the Clayton Baptist Church family , the Harvest Sunday school class , the members of the Grace Green Prayer Group and many other friends who so lovingly and faithfully visited mom during her extended illness.
We appreciate the good food , scripture readings , songs and prayers over all these past long months. She loved you all very much and enjoyed your visits, calls and beautiful cards.

We will not have a memorial service , and she will be interred at Big creek baptist church cemetery in Coolidge , Ga. We please ask for no visitation as we request a time of privacy and quiet after this long vigil.

In lieu of food and flowers for the family (As you all know , Lonnie loves to cook and keeps us well fed) , we ask that gifts be made to the Rabun Christian Food Ministry , P.O. Box 1955 ,Clayton , Ga. 30525, or to Clayton Baptist Church , 87 S. Church Street , Clayton, Ga. 30525 , for their general fund , or for the H.I.M (Home Improvement Ministry), both ministries were dear to mom’s heart.
