Deborah Rogers

Deborah Ann Payne Rogers, 54 of Clayton, Georgia., died Friday February 22, 2013 at her residence on Mitchell Street Clayton, Georgia. She was the wife of Harold H. Rogers.

Born in Franklin, North Carolina. March 12, 1958 she was the daughter of Martha Payne of Clayton. She was employed for a time with Empire MFG. Company in the textile industry and was a member of the Clayton Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Harold H. Rogers of the home; her mother, Martha Payne Gibson of Clayton, and by daughters; Susan Kelly of Clayton, Kristie Williams of Six Mile, SC, Melissa Torres of Oak Ridge, Tenn., Kristina Shook of Jefferson, Georgia., and Jamie Shook of Tiger, GA. One step-daughter, Sabrina Bowers of Franklin, NC. One brother, Michael Payne of Clayton, GA., and three sisters, Kathy Baxley of Lexington, NC., Paula Vandigriff of Clayton and Angie Reese of Rabun Gap, Georgia., and by fifteen grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday February 27, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Michael Rogers. Burial will be in the Roane Cemetery.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, February 26, 2012. The family is at the home of her nephew, Wesley Rogers, on Stekoa Falls Road, Clayton.
