Dever Lee

May 22, 1932 — February 3, 2013

Dever Strickland Lee, 80, of the Chechero Community Clayton, Georgia., died Sunday February 3, 2013 in the North East Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville, Georgia. He was the widower of Hazel Dixon Lee.

Born in Long Creek South Carolina May 22, 1932, he was the son of the late Dowis and Ollie Rholetter Lee. He was the owner and operator of an apple orchard in the Chechero Community, as well as in Long Creek, South Carolina. He was also an operator of heavy equipment (a crane operator). He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, and a member of the Rabun Gap, Masonic Lodge 265 of Clayton and a member of the Long Creek Baptist Church.

Dever is survived by two sons and their spouses; Gary T. Lee and Carol of Clayton, GA., and Louie D. Lee and Rhonda of Clayton; two grandchildren, Shawn Seabolt and Ashley Sullens and one great granddaughter, Ashlyn Seabolt.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday February 6, 2013 in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating. Burial will be in the Godfrey Cemetery in the Chechero Community with Masonic Rites.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday February 5, 2013. The family is at their respective residences.
