Donald S. Moore, 61 of Tiger, Georgia died Sunday evening October 23, 2011 in Mountain Lakes Medical Center.
Born in Clayton, GA., December 5, 1949, He was the son of the late Lindsey C. and Louise Blair Moore. He was a member and a captain in the Rabun County Rescue Squad and was employed at Burlington Industries for a number of years. He was a member of the Tiger Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Jones Moore of the home. Two daughters, Tammy Moore and Patti Harkins, both of Tiger; four brothers, Carl Moore and his twin, Ronald Moore both of Tiger, GA., and twin brothers; Larry and Harry Moore, both of Clayton, GA., three grandsons, Kyle Moore, Jack Harkins and Austin Moore. Several nephews, nieces and cousins also survive.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday October 26, 2011 at the Tiger Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Hunnicutt and Rev. Larry Cannon officiating. Burial will follow in the Tiger cemetery conducted by layman Lloyd Hunter.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Tuesday October 25, 2011. The body will be placed at the Tiger Baptist Church at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday October 26, 2011 to lie in state.
The family is at the residence on Lindsey Moore Lane in Tiger, GA.
