Dovie Green Hooper

Dovie Green Hooper, age 61, of Tiger, GA passed away on January 5, 2023.

She is the daughter of Frances Tyler Green and the late Dillard Green. She was survived by her husband of 31 years Tim Hooper. Dovie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time outside camping, fishing, and gardening. She also loved taking her grandkids on “Nana Adventures”. When she couldn’t be outside you could find her watching the Atlanta Braves or her favorite NCIS episode. Dovie worked for the Rabun County School System at the Elementary School and worked for 12 years in customer service at Wal-Mart.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by five children, Renea Jarrard and husband Josh, T.C. Hooper, Zach Hooper, Derick Weaver and wife Catherine, and Rebecca Avery and husband Jonathan; nine grandchildren, Jacob Jarrard, Josie Jarrard, Tristian Hooper, Zoei Hooper Bearden, Aiden Cline, Braxtynn Cline, Emersyn Weaver, Lily Avery and Jules Avery; three brothers, David Green and wife Brenda, Douglas Green, and Doyle Green; two sisters, Doris Green and Debra Fountain; a special niece, April Henderson and her husband Mike and their children, Amy and Elijah Henderson.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 9th, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Persimmon Community Cemetery with Pastor Tim Hunnicutt officiating.
