Guy A, Keener, 81, of Hwy 76 West, Clayton, Ga. , died Monday September 7, 2009 at his home.
Born May 24, 1928 in Rabun County. He was the son of the late Abraham and Azalee Holms Keener. He was the husband of the late Betty Key Keener.
He was retired from Burlington Industries after many years of service. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion and the V.F.W. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Surviving are; one son, Tommy Hogsed of Lilburn, Ga; Two brothers, Frank Keener of Toccoa, Ga. and Bill Keener of Colorado and Arizona. Four sisters; Catherine Ivester of Monroe, Ga., Carolyn Dooley of Douglasville, Ga., Judy Meeks of Social Circle, Ga., and Isabell Smith of Sandy Springs, Ga.
Funeral Services will be at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home Wednesday September 9, 2009 AT 11:00 A.M. with Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in Rabun Memory Park. The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday night September 8, 2009. The family is at their respective residences.
