Harold Echols , Jr. , 75 , of Stekoa Falls Rd. , Clayton , Ga. died Thursday Morning , December 11, 2008 in Mountain View Health Care Center.
Born in Rabun County January 17 , 1933 , He was the son of the late Harold Echols ,Sr. and Mattie Carpenter Echols . He was a Woodsman in the Timber Industry and was a member of the Corner Rock AME Church .
He was preceded in death by a sister , Becky Strickland , and by two brothers, James E. Strickland , and Hillyard Echols. And is survived by a sister , Mary Ethel Dorsey of Cleveland , Ga. , and by several nephews, nieces and cousins , and by three very special friends , Jeff Duvall , Dank James and Johnny Mcfarlane .
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday December 13 , 2008 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev.Dr. Joe Nichols officiating. Burial will be in the Penland Cemetery , Clayton , Ga.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday Night December 12 , 2008 .
