John Adam Shook; 79, Clayton, Ga.


John Adam Shook, 79, of Old Highway 441, North, Clayton Georgia, died Friday March 28, 2008 in Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta.
Born in Rabun County, October 16, 1928, he was the son of the late Claude Adam Shook and Rosie Gibson Shook. He was a sawmiller and attended the Christian Fellowship Church in Rabun Gap, GA.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Nichols Shook of Clayton; two sons, Floyd Shook of Clayton of Clayton and Philip Shook of Atlanta; one daughter, Barbara Gail Shook of Mtn Airy, GA.; One brother; Fred Shook of Augusta, GA., Four sisters; Geneva Chastain of Augusta, Cora Lee Newman, Barbara Collins, Mazie Collins all of Lincolton, GA.; Two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Graveside services will be at 5:00 PM. Sunday March 30, 2008 at Pickett Cemetery in Clayton, GA., With Rev Gene Collins officiating.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 3:30 PM Sunday March 30, 2008 until 4:30 PM.
