Margaret Chastain

Margaret Talley Chastain, 82 of John Beck Dockins Road, Rabun Gap, Georgia died Thursday June 6, 2013 in Mountain Lakers Medical Center.

Born in Highlands North Carolina April 13, 1931, she was the daughter of the late John and Effie Talley. She had lived most of her life in Rabun County. She was the widow of Fred Chastain. Margaret was a homemaker and was of Church of God Faith.

She was preceded in death, besides her husband, a grandson, Freddie Lee Chastain and two brothers, Herschel and Oscar Talley and is survived by one son, Lamar Chastain (Anita) Rabun Gap, GA. A granddaughter, Elisabeth Chastain of Rabun Gap, GA. Four sisters, Gladys Ramey of Clayton, GA., Dorothy Pearl Carpenter of Scaly MTN, NC., Barbara Smith of Tignall, GA., and Hazel Ayers of Lavonia, GA.

Graveside Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday June 8, 2013 at the Head of Tennessee Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Harvey Conner officiating.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends Saturday June 8, 2013 from 12:30 P.M. TO 1:30 P.M.
