Nancy Carter

Nancy Jean Ramey Carter, 65,of Clayton, Georgia., died Wednesday July 29, 2015 in Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

She was born in Rabun County March 7, 1950 to Louise Holt Ramey of Clayton and the late Vernice Ramey. She was an office administrator with the chamber of commerce and was of the Church of God Faith.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father and by a sister, Linda Mackin and a brother, Terry Ramey, and is survived by her mother, Louise Holt Ramey of Clayton, one daughter, Sherry Carter of Vornore, TN., two brothers., Johnny Ramey and Scott Ramey of Clayton, GA., five sisters, Jeannette Webb and Judy Thrift of Clayton, GA., Barbara Webb, Mt. Rest, SC., Sheryl Green of Turnerville, GA., and Cammey Carpenter of Rabun Gap, GA. Two grandchildren, Jonathan Gibson and Adrian Gibson ; Three great grandchildren, Brandon Gibson, Nevah Gibson and Savannah Harkins.

The body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at the Clayton Church of God Saturday August 1, 2015 at 4:00 P.M. conducted by Rev. Bryan Alexander. Visitation will be at the Clayton Church of God from 3:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. (The Service Hour).

The family is at the home of her mother, Louise Ramey on Dunlap Street, Clayton, Georgia.
