Raleigh Joe (Jody) Henslee , 48 , of Clayton, Ga. died Wednesday April 1, 2009 at his residence.
Born May 12, 1960 in Rabun County, Ga. He was the son of Nellie Beasley Henslee of Gainesville and the late Randall Henslee .He was a Landscaper and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Rheba Owen Henslee of the home and his mother Nellie Henslee, one son , Johnathan Henslee of Statesville, N.C., three step-sons, Mitchell O’shields, Otto, N.C., Samuel O’shields of Dagsboro, Delaware and Ray O’shields of Dandridge, TN., Three daughters, Brandy Beck and Heather Beck, both of Seneca, S.C., and Jamie Henslee of Ellijay, Ga., Two brothers, Charles Henslee and Larry Henslee both of Gainesville, Ga., Two sisters, Margaret Howard of Clayton and Martha Jean Webb of Toccoa, Ga., fourteen grandchildren and several nephews, nieces and cousins also survive.
The body has been cremated and a Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday April 6, 2009 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home by the Rev.Louis Stern.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour at 1:00 P.M.
The family is at the home on Clois Rd., in Clayton, Ga.
The family asks that flowers be omitted and contributions be made to Rheba Henslee P.O. Box 544, Mt. City, Ga. 30562 to help with funeral expenses.
