Tiny Jean Nessmith

Tiny Jean Nessmith, 89, of Valrico, FL, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023. A native of Savannah, GA, she had resided here since 1963 coming from Jacksonville, FL. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Brandon, a member of Southside Baptist Church and Flat Creek Baptist Church, Lakemont, GA. 

She had been on the Woman's Auxiliary at Brandon Little League and loved to quilt. Tiny was a devoted wife to George for 68 years and her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren were her greatest joy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Lee and Annie Laura Edenfield; brothers, David Julian Edenfield and Lester Barwick Edenfield and sister, Willie Lee Tully and is survived by her husband, George B. Nessmith, Jr.; sons, George B. Nessmith, III, Scott Lester Nessmith and John Sovereign Nessmith; daughter, Cynthia Lee Scull; sisters, Ann Overstreet and Annette Johnson; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Southern Funeral Care, Riverview, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Lakemont, GA.
