Amalee Zoellner Hamby

Amalee Zoellner Hamby, 95, of Williamston, SC passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Habersham Homes West.
 
Born August 3, 1925 in Macon County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Willie Lewis Zoellner and Magline Webb. She was a housewife and was a member of Battle Branch Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents, Willie L. and Magline Webb Zoellner, by her husband, John Layfette Hamby, Sr., by a brother, Charlie Zoellner and sisters, Louise Hendson, Lucy Ken and Mae Ayers. 

She is survived by three sons, Lew and Wanda Hudson of Braselton, GA, John Jr. and Kathy Hamby of Clayton, GA and Robert Hamby of Clayton, GA, by three daughters, Sylvia Jean Hudson Mathson of Williamston, SC, Cookie and Larry Henslee of Mt. Airy, GA and Linda Sue Hamby of Clayton, GA and by a brother, Earl and Clara Zoellner of Dillard, GA. Nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren also survive. 

There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, October, 20, 2020 at 2:00pm at Rabun Memory Park in Tiger, GA with Rev Rev. Danny Cannon officiating. 

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made in her memory to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at 1405 Cliffton Rd. NE Atlanta, GA 30323.

The family is at their respective residences.
