Angie went home to be with her lord and savior on July 13th.
She was known in the community as someone you could talk to if needed, a true friend to all. Angie loved her husband, kids, grandkids, and pets beyond measure.
Angie was the wife of Adam Sweincicki, a devoted husband who stuck with the vows they said together, “in sickness and health, until death do us part." She was the mother of five, William Gantt (Jennifer), Tori Gantt (Casie Gordon), Christopher Penland (Kendra Marsengill), Rachel Penland, and Emerald Pittman.
She loved her grandkids, who made her days better: Justin Paul Jr., Davie and Gauge Gantt, Raelynn Gordon and Kingston Gantt.
She was the middle daughter of three, her older sister being Retia Merino (Raul) and younger sister Claudia Penland (Christopher Grodde).
To know Angie was a heart felt experience. If you needed her, she was there. Needed food or clothes, she’d try her hardest to help. Her time on earth was short, but to all who knew her, she’ll live on in their hearts.
Angie was proceeded in death by her parents, Charles Penland and Sherrie Crone, and Grandparents Jesse & Dorothy Welborn and Claud & Adiline Penland.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2026 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm prior to the service. Burial will follow at Mount Moriah Cemetery in Highlands, NC.
