Ann Gragg Lunsford entered her heavenly home on January 20, 2026. Born on October 26, 1930 in the Flat Creek Community in Rabun County, Georgia, she was the eldest daughter of the late Ora Marie “Nanny” Gragg. Ann spent her youth in the Flat Creek Community and graduated from the Lakemont High School Class of 1947. One of her greatest recollections was how the community united to grow and sell tobacco in order to raise funds, and physically build the Flat Creek Community Center that still stands today.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Waymond Lunsford and her brother Jim Gragg. A lifelong resident of Rabun County, Ann worked at the A.I.D. Corporation for many years and retired from the Rabun County School system where she served as a beloved “lunchroom lady” at Clayton Elementary School. Ann loved her family and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She is survived by one son Keith (Rhonda), grandchildren Erik (Amanda) and Roxanne (Larry), great-grandchildren Jakob Lunsford, Anna Lunsford, Clayton Lunsford, Evie Lunsford, and Stetson Lunsford. She is also survived by her sister, Bobbie Thompson of Winder and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved dearly.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Flat Creek Cemetery Fund (59 Clifton Addis Road Lakemont, GA 30552)
