Annie Mae Rogers

Annie Mae Rogers, 77, of Clayton , Ga. died Tuesday April 26 , 2016 in Hiawassee , Ga. She was the widow of Verlon Martin Rogers.

Born in Rabun County December 30 , 1938 she was the daughter of the late Henry W. Ramey and Mona Wooten Ramey she was the last member of her immediate family. She was a retired textile worker.

Annie Mae was preceded in death by her husband Verlon M. Rogers. By a son , Lorne Frady , a granddaughter , Caressa Smith and a great grandson , Alan Blackwell , by two brothers, Dock and Babe Ramey and three sisters, Magalene Sanders , Wylene Wall and Irene Crone, and is survived by two sons , Audi Rogers of Ringgold , Ga. and Stacy Rogers of Tunnel Hill , Ga. Three daughters , Sheila Blackwell (Melton) of Walhalla , S.C. , Renay Meyers of Clayton and Elonda Wilson (Jon) of Charlotte , N.C. , nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday April 28 , 2016 at the Chapel of Hunter funeral home conducted by Rev. Frank Rodriquez. The body is at Hunter funeral home where visitation will be Thursday April 28 , 2016 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 P.M. (The funeral hour). The family is at their respective residences.
