Barbara “Jeanne” Binnie

Barbara “Jeanne” Binnie, 84, of Clayton, died on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at her home after an eleven month battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was born in Los Angeles, California on April 30, 1930 and lived in California and Oregon before moving to Clayton, Georgia in 1995.

She was the daughter of the late Edwin and Ruby Garheart and was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Robert A Binnie Sr.

She is survived by her son, Robert Binnie Jr and wife Suzette of Lakemont, GA. A daughter Robin Binnie and partner Brian Russell of Tampa, Florida. A daughter Rhonda Breum and husband Peter of Los Angeles, California. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Jeanne loved animals. She bred and raised Quarter horses, raised rabbits commercially and had an array of other animals throughout her life. She was an artist and loved to paint scenery and barns, both on canvas and saw blades. During her years in Clayton she also enjoyed buying and selling antiques and was often seen at the local flea market.

She will be missed by those that knew her well.
There will be a private family memorial.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jeanne’s name to the Sid Weber Memorial Fund.
