Ben Charles Savino

August 5, 1931 — March 2, 2026

Clarkesville, GA

Ben Charles Savino, age 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 2, 2026.

Ben was born on August 5, 1931, in Brooklyn, New York, to Italian immigrants Domenico and Maria Rosa Savino, originally from Grumo, Italy. He married the love of his life, Gladys Webster, and they were married for 68 years when she passed away in 2022.

Ben was a quiet man with a strong presence and work ethic, along with a remarkable ability to build and fix things. He had a long and successful career as an electrical engineer and a manager for Perkin-Elmer Corporation in Connecticut. He was an avid runner for many years and in his later life developed a love for golfing when he and his wife moved to Rio Verde, Arizona. Above all, Ben was deeply devoted to his family and cherished the time he spent with them. He was a wonderful example of a faithful husband, father, and friend and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his three children: Sister Damien Marie Savino, FSE, Kenneth Savino, and Scott Savino (Villy); grandchildren Nicholas, Layla, Emma, and Mia Savino; and his sister-in-law, Susan Creighton.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 11:00 am at St. Helena Catholic Church, 137 Meadow Stream Lane, Clayton, GA 30525. A memorial Mass will be held at St. Dominic Catholic Mission in Rio Verde, AZ, at a future date.
