Bernice Chappell

Bernice Miller Zoellner Chappell, 82, of Zoellner Lane, Dillard, Georgia., died Thursday night February 6, 2014 in North East Georgia Medical Center.

Born in Scaly Mountain, North Carolina., she was the daughter of the late Montgomery and Ellen Rogers Miller. She was twice married; first to the late Charlie Zoellner and then to the late Brown Chappell. She was a retired homemaker and grocery store clerk and was a member of the Head of Tennessee Baptist Church, Dillard, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by two brothers; Eldon Miller and Homer Miller and one sister, Lucy Norton. She is survived by one son, David Zoellner (Lynnette) of Dillard, GA., two brothers, Kenneth Miller of Seattle, WA., and Leon Miller of Augusta, GA., and two sisters, Frances Wilson (Dud) of Long Creek, SC., and Joyce Lipovac (Frank) of Jefferson, GA., four grandchildren, Michael Zoellner (Teresa), Tonya Stephens (Jason), Karl Zoellner (Cody) and Ruthie Zoellner. Six great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends also survive.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Sunday February 9, 2014 at the Head of Tennessee Baptist Church with Rev. Sam Letson officiating. Burial will be in the Head of Tennessee Cemetery.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends Saturday evening February 8, 2014 from 6 to 8 P.M. The family is at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, David and Lynnette Zoellner on Zoellner Lane, Dillard, Georgia.
