Bertha Faye Smith

Bertha Faye Smith, age 89, of Clayton, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025.

She was born on July 17, 1936, in Chambers County, Alabama, and was the daughter of the late John Wesley Johnson and Maudie Hill Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Smith, who passed away in 2018.

Bertha is survived by her three sons, Charles A. Smith of Williamson, GA; William J. Smith (Roxanne) of Zebulon, GA; and Jeffery A. Smith of Meansville, GA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
