Buddy Lee Fairchild

It is with deep sadness that we share the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved family member, Buddy Lee Fairchild. Buddy was taken from us on September 12, 2026, after only 30 short years here on earth.

Buddy was born on January 2, 1996, in Warren, Ohio, to Bonita Groscope Marchman and Shane Lee Fairchild. He was preceded in death by his father, Shane Lee Fairchild.

Buddy is survived by his mother, Bonita; his three siblings, Shane Steven Fairchild Sr., Mariah Lynn Fairchild (Adam Martin), and Colt Fairchild; as well as several half-siblings who will always hold a special place in his family. He also leaves behind his four beloved children, Braxlynn, Saylor, Kord, and Kyra Fairchild; two nieces, Avery and Miley Fairchild; four nephews, Shane Steven Fairchild Jr., Sebastian, Rhydian, and Rylan Martin; and countless other family members, friends, and loved ones whose lives were touched by his.

Although Buddy was born in Ohio, he spent most of his childhood and all of his adult life in the Rabun/Northeast Georgia area, a place he called home.

Buddy had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, four-wheeling, and anything that allowed him to be surrounded by nature. He was a skilled landscaper and roofer and had also worked as a machinist. There was very little Buddy couldn’t figure out when it came to working with his hands. He was talented, hardworking, and capable of doing just about anything he set his mind to.

But those who knew Buddy will remember him for something far more important than his many skills. Buddy loved people. He had a heart that was always open and a willingness to help anyone in need, even when doing so came at his own expense. He was the person you could turn to when you needed an ear to listen, a shoulder to lean on, or simply someone to be there. His kindness, generosity, and love for others were among the greatest things about him.

Buddy’s life may have been far too short, but the love he gave and the memories he created will remain with those who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, his friends, his children, and everyone fortunate enough to have known and loved him.

We will forever miss our precious Buddy. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.

As of this date, a private memorial service has been held.
