Catherine Crane

Catherine M. Crane, 74, of Stagecoach Road, Clayton, GA., died Sunday December 20, 2015 at her home.

She was born May 30, 1941 in Macon County, North Carolina to the late Phil and Carrie Henry Crane. “Miss” Carrie died in 2009 at the age of 106. Catherine was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert, Earl and Lawrence Crane and by three sisters, Marie McCoy, Lena Dendy and Ethel Ramey, and is survived by one son, Jake(Robin) Crane of Clayton, GA. Two daughters raised in the home, Louise Nixon of Clayton and Betty Crane of Austin, Texas and a son, David Crane raised in the home, of Greenville, SC. Two brothers, Richard Crane of High Point, NC., and Ernest Crane of Tiger, GA, two sisters, Evelyn Pickleseimer of Highlands, NC., and Mary Arnold of Monticello, CAL. One grandson, Jacob Crane.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday December 23, 2015 with Rev. Larry Cannon and Candie Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where visitation will be Tuesday December 22, 2015 from 6 to 8 P.M. The family is at home on Stagecoach Road, Clayton. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made, in her memory, to Hunter Funeral Home, P.O. Box 653, Clayton, GA., 30525 to aid in funeral expenses.
