Cecil Wilburn Jr.

Cecil Wilburn Jr., 57, passed away on April 23, 2022, at Emory University Hospital.

Cecil was born on August 16, 1964, to Cecil Wilburn Sr. and Deborah Harris. He was a brilliant carpenter who worked for Buchanan Construction and could build anything he set his mind to. Cecil graduated from Rabun County High School in 1983 and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and volunteering as a firefighter for the Rabun County Fire Department while he wasn't working.

He is survived by one daughter, Jacqueline McClain, and husband Blake of Lakemont, GA; one grandson, Simon McClain; one brother, David Adam Wilburn Sr. of Rock Hill, SC; two sisters, Teresa Taylor of York, SC and Rita Wilburn of Rock Hill, SC; and ten nieces and nephews.

At a later date, a private service will be held.

Hunter Funeral Home is assisting the Wilburn family.
