Charles Claud Penland

Charles Claud Penland 72, of Tiger Georgia Passed away April 17, 2020 at North East Georgia Medical Center, Born December 25, 1947 in Macon County North Carolina, to the Late Claud and Adilene Penland. Charles worked for several Law Enforcement agencies in Rabun County for several years. He loved the Great Outdoors where he enjoyed camping, fishing, and also hunting with family and friends.

He was a member of Newmans Chapel of Baptist Church where he loved his Church Family.


Charles was proceeded in death by his parents and his stepson Chad Little, one brother Mike Penland, and is survived by his Loving Wife Lana Gail Penland, four daughters Retia (Raul) Merino of Clayton Georgia, Angie (Adam) Swiencicki, of Tiger Georgia Claudie (Christoper) Grodde ,of Tiger Georgia. A stepdaugter Jailla Little, of Jacksonville Flordia. and also survived by a stepson Bo (Becky) Little, of Rabun Gap Georgia. a stepson William (Jennifer) Gantt of Tiger Georgia two sisters Jane Hollifield of Clayton Georgia, Debbie Johnson, of Blairsville Georgia, He also survived by twenty-two grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home, where there will be a private Graveside service Monday April 20, 2020 at 2 p.m. At Newmans Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Dennis Ledford and Rev. Danny Cannon officiating. There will be no public veiwing or public servies due to the outbreak of COVID-19.
