Charlotte Rogers Reed

Charlotte Rogers Reed, age 82, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Charlotte was born on May 19, 1941. She was the daughter of the late Edward Monroe Rogers and Velma Johnson Rogers. She was married to her loving husband of 61 years, Ralph Reed. She was a faithful member of Macedonia Baptist Church for over 60 years. During that time, she served by singing in the choir and teaching Sunday School. Charlotte was an amazing cook and would love to have family and friends over for dinner. She was a loving wife, mother and nana and will be dearly missed.

In addition to her husband Ralph, she is survived by five children, Theresa Williams (Steven) of Stonewall, MS, Susan Smith (Holland) of Richmond Hill, GA, Sandra Teffault (Andre) of Toccoa, GA, Nathan Reed (Dorian) of Farmington, NM, and Renee Reed of Clarkesville, GA; grandchildren, Hannah Williams, Amanda Bickston, Robyn Albright, Tiffany Smith, Lauren Frady, Matthew Vandiver, James Vandiver, Adam Vandiver, David Vandiver, Luke Vandiver, Daniel Reed and Audrey Reed; great grandchildren, Anderson Bickston, Sophie Story, Harrison Bickston, Merry Ann Smith, Makenna Bickston, Lawson Frady, Everly Frady, Noah Vandiver and Liam Vandiver; one sister, Lucille McClure and several Nieces and Nephews also survive. 

She is preceded in death by one sister, Elizabeth Billingsley and one brother, Rev. John Rogers.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Zane Talley, Rev. Greg Rogers, and Rev. Oliver Rice officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm prior to the service in the fellowship hall of Macedonia Baptist Church. Interment will follow the service at the church cemetery.
