Christopher Lee Ashby

Christopher Lee Ashby, age 52, of Tiger, GA formerly of Michigan, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022.

Born on October 6, 1969, he is the son of Vernon L Ashby and Vera Maxwell Ashby.

Christopher moved to Tiger a year and a half ago and he loved being here in the mountains. He was a decorated combat veteran, serving in the United States Army as an Army Ranger. He spent much of his military career in the 1st Gulf War, the Persian Gulf and in Saudi Arabia. He loved riding his motorcycle, camping and working around the property in Tiger.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his common law wife, Tammy Lynn Dowdal of Tiger, GA; two daughters, Angelica Jane McCoy of Burton, MI, and Ellie Ashby of Columbiaville, MI; three stepchildren, Brian Dowdal, Patrick Dowdal, and Amber Dowdal all of Tiger, GA; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia Lynne Dager of New Haven, IN, and Teresa Merrell of LaGrange, IN; three brothers, Jeffrey Leon Ashby of IN, Gary Dale Cattran of Lake Orion, MI, and Kevin Cattran.

He is preceded by one brother Harold James Cattran.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
