Clara McCall Dailey, age 90, of Clayton, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026.
She was born on July 14, 1936, to the late Journey and Zora Crowe McCall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Dailey; one sister; three brothers; and son, Virgil Dailey.
Clara was of the Church of God faith. She attended Wiley Church of God, where she was the last living charter member. For 20 years, she owned and operated Dailey Quilts and Gifts.
She is survived by her children: Earl McCall (Stacey) of Buford, Otis McCall (Janet) of Wiley, Linda Benfield (Scott) of Clayton, and Doris Free; grandchildren: Jordan Benfield (Lauren), Trevor McCall, Mason McCall, Shanna Oliver, Michael Ivester, Chris Ivester, Amy Hunter, Katie Free; great-grandchildren, Kaisleigh Benfield and Tucker Benfield; special niece, Ila Spivey; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. David Port officiating. Burial will follow in Wiley Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Adam Wright officiating.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the service hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
