Cletta Mae Welch

Cletta Mae Sosebee Welch, 78, of Clayton, Georgia., died Wednesday October 7, 2015 in Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA. She was the widow of J.B.Welch.

Born in Habersham County, March 2, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Huey Sosebee and Edith Hamilton Sosebee. She had lived most of her life in Rabun County. She was the last member of her immediate family. Cletta was a supervisor with Claburne Manufacturing Company and was of the Baptist Faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents and by a daughter, Vicky Hammons, by two brothers, Gene Sosebee and Doug Sosebee and by a great grandson, Braylon Griffin. She is survived by a daughter, Cletta McClain of Clayton, GA., by two sons, Donald McClain and Spencer Shuman of Clayton, GA., four grandchildren, Elizabeth McClain, Steven Hammons, Jesse Hammons and Christy Hammons Griffin., and four great grandchildren, Kyle Hammons, Wyatt Hammons, Alan Griffin and Noel Griffin. A nephew, Grady Holcomb and a niece, Nacoma Speed, plus several cousins.

The body has been cremated and a memorial service will be at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home Saturday October 10, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Chuck Stutsman officiating.

The family will have a visitation at the funeral home Saturday from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 P.M. (The Funeral Hour). The family is at the home of Donald McClain on Dunlap Street, Clayton, Georgia.
