Conway Watkins

Conway Watkins, 50, of Clayton, Georgia., died Friday August 22, 2014 at his residence.

Born October 26, 1963 in Forsythe County, Georgia., he was the son of the late Ellis and Josephine Rogers Watkins. He was a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry and was a member of the Cave Spring Baptist Church in Mayesville, Georgia.

He is survived by his companion, Elizabeth Novell, four brothers, Bill Watkins (Karen) of Clayton, GA., Bob Watkins (Pam) of Clayton, GA., Melvin Watkins (Jenny) of Mayesville, GA., and Joey Watkins (Lorraine) of Arcade, GA., two half-brothers, Michael Watkins of North Carolina and Shannon Watkins of Augusta, GA. One half-sister Bonnie Motes. Several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins also survive.

Funeral Services will be Sunday August 24, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Page officiating. Burial will be in the Chechero Baptist Cemetery.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends Saturday, August 23, 2014 from 6 to 9 P.M. The family is at the home of his brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Karen Watkins on Speed Lane in the Warwoman Community. There will be visitation Sunday August 24, 2014 from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. (The Funeral Hour). Family asks in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to Hunter Funeral Home, P.O. Box 653 Clayton, Georgia. 30525 to aid in funeral expenses.
