Doyle Michael Watts, age 75, of Clayton, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born on August 13, 1950, in Rabun County to the late Ralph and Gladys Watts.
Doyle was a simple man who found joy in the outdoors, whether he was hunting, casting a line fishing, or sitting by the creek in what the family lovingly called “Doyle’s World”. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him endless happiness. Doyle worked as a machinist for over 30 years with GAP and AID Corporation, where he was recognized with a plaque honoring his many years of dedicated service.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Watts; four children, Shane Watts (Sunshine), Jody Beck (Jamie), Missy McMann (Brian), and Beth Fountain; grandchildren, John Michael Watts (Katie Beth), Jesse Watts, Jacob Watts (Karsen), Aryana Beck, Liam Beck, Kadence McMann, Colten McMann, Krissa Fountain, and Wyatt Fountain; great-grandchildren, Oliver, Emory, Maelee-Kate, Boone, Ledger, and Lux Watts; brothers, Ed Watts, Kenneth “Red” Watts, and Pete Watts; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Madison McCrackin officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
