Emanuel Hunt

Emanuel C. Hunt, 89, affectionately known as (E.C. or Manny) died December 20, 2014 in Clayton, Georgia., at his residence of natural causes.

Emanuel was born on December 17, 1925 in White City, Florida to Millard and Patronella Weyers Hunt. He had two sisters, and three brothers. He graduated from St. Anastasia High School in Ft. Pierce, FL., and served in the United States Army.

He married Kathryn Osteen on October 4, 1952 in Ft. Pierce, Florida., he was employed by and retired from Southern Bell (AT&T) after 38 years of service. Emanuel retired to Clayton, Georgia., in 1982 and began gardening and raising cows as hobbies. He was a beekeeper and honey producer for many years. He was of the Catholic Faith and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He is preceded in death by a son, Stephen Emanuel Hunt in 2001, three brothers, Leroy Hunt, Clifford Hunt and Millard Hunt and one sister, Mildred Arseneau all of Ft. Pierce. He is survived by his spouse, Kathryn of Clayton, GA., daughters, Kathryn Kremkau (Mike) of Ft. Pierce, FL., and Mary Atkins (Gary) of Vero Beach, FL., son, Richard (Sandy O’Neil) of Clayton, GA., and daughters, Patricia Mitchell of Clayton, GA., and Pamela Tillman (Fred) of Ft. Pierce, FL., daughter-in-law Ann Hunt of Clayton, GA., and sister, Ester Gibbons of Ft. Pierce, FL., also thirteen grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

A Memorial Service will be held in Ft. Pierce, Florida at a later date.

Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
