Ethel Louise Passmore Carver, 94, of Franklin, NC passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2022. She was born September 15, 1928 in Macon County, North Carolina to the late Jeff and Lorena Hasket Passmore. She was married to James Wesley Carver, who died in 2010. Mrs. Carver was a homemaker, she loved quilting, cooking, canning and planting a garden. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother, who enjoyed her family. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Franks, Doyle Carver, Dale Carver, Terry Carver and David Carver; and a stepdaughter, Eva Nell Jenkins; a brother, Jerdy Passmore; a sister-in-law, Bonnell Williams; 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and her caregiver, Denise Tippett.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Donald Ray Carver and Howard Carver, two daughters, Lily Parrish and Bessie Cooper; and two sisters, Etta Adams and Estie Harris.
A graveside service will be held Friday, October 14, 2022 at 11:00 am at Woodlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wayne Carver, Jeffery Carver, Scotty Cooper, Wesley Carver, Corey Baldwin, Ricky Caldwell and Eric Cooper.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
