Ethel Laverne Phillips Queen, 76, of Charlotte, died Monday, April 28, 2014, at the Harris Hospice unit of Novant Health Charlotte Campus.

Ethel was born in Rabun County, Georgia, on October 3, 1937, the daughter of William Clarence Phillips and Lavonia Azilee Trustey. She entered the real estate profession and worked for many years as an office manager. She loved doing yardwork but most loved the time spent with family and friends.

Parker Both of Clayton, GA. Ethel is further survived by numerous grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.

Ethel and Wanda’s family has given the family of Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home the privilege of caring for them. Arrangements for Ethel and her daughter are pending but tentatively set for Saturday, May 3, 2014, with time and location to be announced.
