Frances Thompson

Frances Evelyn Thompson, 77, of Clarkesville, Georgia., formally of Clayton died Tuesday March 18, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville Georgia.

Born in Marble, North Carolina., September 24, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Luther and Sallie Clark Thompson. She was a homemaker and Baptist by Faith. She was also a very loving Mother, Grandmother and friend and will be deeply missed.

She is survived by two sons, and daughter-in-laws Melvin and Judy Thompson of Habersham, GA., Joseph and Sheila Thompson of Habersham, GA., one brother, Lemond Thompson of Habersham, GA., two sisters Lassie Lawrence of Habersham, GA., and Wilma Taylor, of Mississippi., four grandchildren and one great grandchild and a special companion David Bell of the home. Several nephews’ nieces and cousins also survive.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday March 21, 2014 at Rocky Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Kyle Watts officiating. Burial will follow in the Rocky Grove Cemetery.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends Thursday evening March 20, 2014 from 6 to 9 P.M. The body will be placed in the church Friday March 21, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. (The Funeral Hour) to-lie-in-state. The family is at the home of her son and daughter-in-law Joseph and Sheila Thompson Hardman Road Clarkesville, Georgia.
