George Brinson Nessmith Jr.

George Brinson Nessmith, Jr., 89, of Valrico, FL, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023. A native of Savannah, GA, he had resided here since 1963 coming from Jacksonville, FL. He was a US Air Force veteran, a member of First Baptist Church of Brandon, Southside Baptist Church and Flat Creek Baptist Church, Lakemont, GA. He was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans; Past President of the original Brandon Little League; a Sunday School Teacher at First Baptist Church of Brandon and Owner of Florida Ink Manufacturing. He is survived by his sons, George B. (Leslie) Nessmith, III, Scott Lester (Denise) Nessmith and John Sovereign (Gayle) Nessmith; daughter, Cynthia Lee (K.B.) Scull; brother, Ronal Nessmith; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Flat Creek Baptist Church, Lakemont, GA. Interment will follow at Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Flat Creek Baptist Church, Lakemont, GA.
