George Welch

George Welch, Jr., 78, of Westninster, SC., died Tuesday March 3, 2015 at Oconee Memorial Hospital.

Born in Rabun County, Georgia., May 25, 1936 he was the son of the late George Welch, Sr., and Ethel Webb . He was a heavy equipment operator and was of the Baptist Faith.

He was preceded in death besides his parents, by sisters, Phyllis Blalock, Annie Mae Garrett, Virginia Lee Welch, and is survived by two sons, Tim Welch of Lakemont, GA., Tony Welch of lakemont,GA., two daughters, Teresa Edmonds, Clayton, GA., Annita Welch, Wiley, GA. Four Brothers, John Henry Welch, Mountain City, GA., Cecil Welch, Mountain City, GA., Monroe Webb, South Carolina., and Ralph Welch of Clayton, GA. Seven sisters, Daisy Mae Thomson, of Clayton, GA., Glenda Nixon, Elizabeth Shirley, Clayton, GA., Sandra Peeke, OF California., Virginia Lee Welch., Dorothy Welch, of Cedartown, GA., Emily Webb. Seven grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Several nephews, nieces and Cousins also survive.

The body has been cremated and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
