Gertrud Richards

Gertrud Richards, 90, of Mtn. City, GA passed away on Tuesday December 29, 2020 at Mountain View Healthcare in Clayton, GA. 

Born in Berlin, Germany on June 22, 1930 she was the daughter of the late Walter Rudolf Klingenschmidt and Frieda Anna Klingenschmidt. She lived most of her life in Rabun County after coming to America around 1950 and was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Frieda Klingenschmidt and her husband, William Richards, and also by four sisters, Ursula G. Erna, Hildegard Erna, Ingeburg Magarete and Edith Frieda. She is survived by a sister, Renate Helga Magarete in Berlin, Germany a special nephew, Frank Collette in Berlin, Germany and also by other family members from Germany.
 
The family would like to thank two very special care givers, Jennifer Nix and Ann Holt Goss. 

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home and will be taken to Rabun Memory Park on Sunday, January 3, 2021 for a graveside service at 1:00pm with Rev. Tim Hunnicutt officiating.
