Gus Colagerakis

Gus Colagerakis, 94, of Franklin, NC., died Wednesday December 15, 2021 at Mountain View Healthcare in Clayton, GA. He was the Husband of Shirley Shook Colagerakis married for over 69 years. He was the last member of his immediate family.

Born in Asheville, North Carolina. September 23, 1927 he was the son of the late Lucas and Bessie Spirakas Colagerakis. He was an accountant for the Champion Paper Company and a member of the West Ashville Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death besides his parents by one son, Doug Colagerakis two brothers, Jimmy and Steve Colagerakis and by two sisters, Amelia Chandler and Eva Cledaras and is survived by his wife, Shirley Colagerakis of the home by two sons, Mike and (Betsy) Colagerakis of Franklin, NC., Jeff and (Tanya) Colagerakis of Raleigh, NC., and by one daughter, Marcie and (Gary) Davis of New Mexico. Seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.

The body has been cremated and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date. The family is at their respective residences.
