Gwenda Cannon

Gwenda Lee Cannon, 72, of Sandy Springs, Georgia., died Thursday May 22, 2014 in Northside Hospital Atlanta, Georgia.

Born in Rabun County, Georgia., August 12, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Clyde P. and Evelyn Carpenter Cannon. She was an attorney at law and was a member of the Lakemont Baptist Church in Rabun County.

She is survived by a sister, Willda Cannon Melton of Cleveland, GA., and by two nieces, Leanne Melton of Atlanta, GA., and Lauren Terry of Demorest, GA.

A memorial service will be held at the Wiley Cemetery Wiley, Georgia., Friday June 13, 2014 at 4:00 P.M. The family asks in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made, in her memory, to Charles Smithgall Humane Society, 4823 Helen Highway, 75 North Sautee Nacoochee, GA. 30571 The family is at their respective residences.
