Harrison Collins

Harrison W. Collins, 96, of Demorest, Georgia., died Saturday September 13, 2014 at Oakes at Scenic View Nursing Home Baldwin, Georgia.

He was born in Union County Georgia., June 18, 1918 to the late Jesse and Margaret Bingham Collins. He was a lumberman in the sawmilling industry and a U.S. Army Veteran Serving in WWII and was a member of Mt. Vernon Holiness Church.

He was preceded in death, besides his parents, by a son, Ray Collins and by two daughters., and is survived by his wife, Louise Helms Collins of the home., one son, James Nations of Demorest, GA., five grandchildren, Ellen, Windy, Jamie, Nathan and Christopher., seven great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday September 17, 2014 at Fairfield Baptist Church Cemetery, Demorest, Georgia., with Rev. Stacy Miller Officiating.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home and the visitation will be at the cemetery, Wednesday September 17, 2014 from 1:30 P.M. to 2:00 P.M.( the funeral hour). The family is at home on Mineral Spring Trail Connector Demorest, Georgia.
