Hartley Watkins

Hartley Watkins, 79 of Clayton, GA passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Hall County.

Born in Rabun County on August 16, 1942 he was the son of the late, Thurmond and Dorothy Dorland Watkins. He lived in Rabun County and worked as a mobile home tech for Mtn City Mobile Homes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thurmond and Dorothy Watkins, three brothers, George Watkins, Nyland Watkins and Gerald Watkins and a sister, Clara (Winkie) Watkins Swaney. He is survived by his partner of 28 years, Patsy Kelley of Otto, NC, four sons, Robby McCutcheon of Franklin, NC, Joel and Kim Watkins of Clayton, GA, Lenzy and Amber Kelly of Mtn. City, GA and Ray Kelly of Denver, CO, a daughter, Tonia and Johnathan McRay of Dillard, GA, and a brother, John Watkins of Westminster, SC. Eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where a visitation will be held in the Eastside Chapel on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral services will be at the Eastside Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 11:00am with Rev. Chris Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Pickett Cemetery with Rev. Johnny York officiating at the graveside.

The family is at their respective residences.
