Haskel Hopkins

Haskel Lee “Hop” Hopkins, 75, of W. Wolf Creek Road Lakemont, Georgia., died Wednesday September 10, 2014., at his residence. He was the husband of Linda Henry Hopkins.

Born in Rabun County, Georgia., April 12, 1939., he was the son of the late Robert H. and Susie Smith Hopkins. He was an inspector in textile at Burlington Industries and was a member of Peoples Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death besides his parents, by a daughter, Angie Williamson and a brother, Hershel Hopkins and by two sisters, Reba Mize and Dorothy Mason, and is survived by his wife Linda Henry Hopkins of the home., one daughter, Carol Henderson (Les) of Dillard, GA. Several nephews, nieces and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be Friday September 12, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Peoples Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Kilby and Rev. Jewel Gaines officiating. Burial will follow at Rabun Memory Park.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends Thursday September 11, 2014 from 7 to 9 P.M. The body will lie in state Friday September 12, 2014 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the Peoples Baptist Church. The family is at the home on W. Wolf Creek Road Lakemont, Georgia.
