Janice Maxine Kell Welch

Janice Maxine Kell Welch, age 77, of Lakemont, GA., passed away on March 12, 2020 at her residence.

She was born on November 17, 1942 in Franklin, NC, to the late Donald and Grace Chastain Kell. She lived the majority of her life in Rabun County, GA., and was a retired respiratory therapist and of the Church of God faith.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Kimberly Welch, one brother Elmo Kell, and two sisters Shirley Moore and Katherine Crisp.

She is survived by her grandchildren Ashley, Dustin, and Brooke, her companion Ernie Higdon of Lakemont, GA., Three brother Jerry Kell (Brenda) of Toccoa, GA.Charles And Sam MCconnell Otto Nc , Four sisters, Carolyn Keener(Doug) of Lakemont, GA., Marilyn Jenkins of Lakemont, GA., and Christine Sorrells of Franklin, NC. Emma Miller Scaly Mountain Nc , five great grandchildren also survive.

Visitation will be at Mountain City Church of God on Sunday from 2:00-3:00PM (the funeral hour) with a funeral service conducted by Rev. Jimmy Kilby and Rev. Len Pirkle following at 3:00PM at Mountain City Church of God. Burial will be at the Welch Family Cemetery in Clayton, GA.

The family is at the home on Connector Road in Lakemont, GA.
