John Powell

John Andrew Powell , 22 , of Clayton , Ga. died Thursday Feb. 25 , 2016 in Northeast Georgia Medical Center , Gainesville , Ga. Born in Gainesville , Ga. Oct. 7, 1993 and was the son of Norma Tilson Powell of Westminster S.C. and the late Donald J. Powell, Sr.. He worked for Sub – way of Clayton ,Ga. and attended Rabun County High School and was of the baptist faith.

John was preceded in death by his father , Donald J. Powell, Sr. and is survived by his mother Norma Tilson Powell , Westminster , S.C. , fiancé , Abbi Hunnicutt of Tiger , Ga. , two adopted children , Eve and Della Hunnicutt , of Tiger, Ga. , two brothers , Tony K. Parks , Westminster, S.C. , Donald J. Powell , Jr. of Westminster , S.C. , two half - sisters , Lola Ann Parks , Gainesville,Ga. , Felicia Parks , Ellijay , Ga. , two uncles Roy T. Powell , Westminster , S.C. , Bobby Miller (Evelyn) , Westminster,S.C. , and numerous cousins also survive.

The body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held Thursday March 3 , 2016 in the Chapel of Hunter funeral home at 2 P.M. Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. (The service hour).

The family is at the home of his mother Norma Tilson Powell , Westminster , S.C.
