Joseph Anthony Clemente

Joseph Anthony Clemente, 77, of Clayton, Georgia, passed away on April 5, 2025.

Joe was born on June 18, 1947, to the late Anthony Louis Clemente and Catherine Mary Clemente. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Sheryl Clemente.

Joe was a proud Vietnam veteran, having served two tours with the United States Marine Corps. During his service, he was awarded three Purple Hearts for his bravery. He was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in both Clayton and Hiawassee, as well as the American Legion and the Marine Corps League.

He spent most of his life in Buffalo, New York, before moving to Tampa, Florida, where he met his wife, Sheryl. Together, they later relocated to Clayton, Georgia.

In addition to his wife, Sheryl, he is survived by three children: Christopher Clemente (Erin), Anthony “Tony” Michael Clemente, and Katie Clemente; grandchildren: Juliette Clemente, Anthony Clemente, and Marley Clemente; and two stepchildren, Amy and Brian.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 3:00 pm at the Hiawassee VFW post #7807, 1329 Sunnyside Rd. Hiawassee, GA 30546.
