Kristopher Adam York

Kristopher Adam York, age 38, of Clayton, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025.

Kristopher was born on May 19, 1987, in Clayton. He lived a life rooted in the outdoors he loved so deeply. Whether he was hunting at daybreak, casting a line into a quiet stream, or exploring back roads on his 4-wheeler, he felt most at peace surrounded by nature. Timpson Creek was his favorite place — a spot he returned to again and again, finding comfort and joy in its familiar bends and cool waters. Kristopher was a hardworking, self-employed tree worker. He had a natural talent for working with his hands, especially when it came to cars — taking them apart, fixing what needed fixing, and bringing engines back to life.

He is survived by his mother, Suzanne York Canada; children: Laura York, Lane York, and Kyle York; a baby on the way, Kristopher Morgan York; grandparents, Calvin and Winnie Sue York; brother and sister-in-law, Jonny York (Ashley); girlfriend, Kayleigh Keener and her children, Remington and Ryder Keener; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Irvin Canada

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Hunter Funeral Home with his brother, Jonny York, officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until the service hour on Wednesday at the funeral home.
