Linda Speed

Linda Sue Slayton Speed, 68, of Clayton, GA., died Tuesday March 20, 2018 in Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville, GA. She was the wife of Bobby Speed.

Born October 6, 1949 in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Herman Slayton and Mabel Norton Slayton. She was a nurse (nurse's aide) in doctor's offices and was a member of Battle Branch Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Mabel Slayton and a son, Resse Crone and is survived by her husband, Bobby Speed of the home, four sons, Gary Crone of Clayton, GA., and Justin Crone of Clayton, GA., Jerry Speed and Michael Speed of Clayton, GA. One sister, Irene Kovarsh, of Clemens, MI., and several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive. 

The body has been cremated and no services are planned at this time. 

The family is at the home.
