Lotha Marcus Gipson

Lotha Marcus Gipson, age 86, passed away on March 8, 2020 at her residence in Lakemont, GA.

She was born on April, 19 1933 in Clayton, GA. to the late Numerous and Grace Bell Lovell Marcus. She was a textile worker with Burlington Industries and of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents along with one brother, Harold Marcus and two sisters, Karen Carpenter and Elgerene Westbrooks.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-six years Fred(Runt) Gipson, one brother, Hastel Marcus (Charlene) of Tiger, GA., and five sisters, Daphane Lockridge of Clarkesville, GA., Corrina Carpenter of Rabun Gap, GA., Delila Whitmire (Buddy) of Rabun Gap, GA., Jean Jordan of Clayton, GA., and Gearldine Whitmire of Tiger, GA.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the caregivers of Lotha Gibson; Ms. Bobbi Lynn Fields and Ms. Tracy Turpin.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home and the family will have a Graveside service conducted by the Rev. James Turpin at 2:00 PM Thursday March 12, 2020 at Wiley Presbyterian Cemetary.

The family is at the home on Shady Lane in Lakemont, GA.
